Xylia Willow
Xylia Willow is the Collective’s lead medicine maker, herbalist and Apothecary manager.
In addition to these titles, they are also an artist, naturalist, educator, death doula, placenta specialist & eternal student of the earth. As a 3rd generation herb worker, they have been raised in both herbal traditions & the indigenous practices of their maternal heritage, while also having had the great privilege of studying with many amazing herbalists.
Xylia has a keen palate & skill for formulating herbs for medicinal & remedial use, implementing an attuned sense for energetics, elements, & flavor.
Xylia is a trained & certified placenta specialist & offers placenta tincturing & encapsulation services. They also have been a self studied student of Thanatology & transitional practices since 2016 & a death worker since 2020. In conjunction with this work, Xylia is a harm reduction outreach worker & educator. To all of these fields, they collaborate with all of their skills to bring holistic, accessible herbal care through loving non-judgment.
Xylia’s ever evolving work is rooted in radical compassion, reciprocity & a true love for the human experience.
In addition, Xylia is a multimedia visual & performance artist whose inspiration & joy revolve around all elements of our natural world. When not in the apothecary, Xylia is usually camping, dancing, stargazing, or digging in their garden patch.
